Jose Chameleone, born Joseph Mayanja on April 30, 1979, is a legendary Afrobeat & Afropop artist from Uganda. Known for his versatility, he blends Luganda, English, and Swahili in his music, creating a rich sound that has shaped the East African music industry.

His career began in 1996 as a DJ at Missouri Night Club in Kampala before he was signed to Ogopa DJs in Kenya. His breakthrough hit Bageya featuring Redsan launched him into stardom, and since then, he has released numerous award-winning albums.
