Tanzanian music sensation Jay Melody, born Sharif Saidi Juma, is back with a new single titled “Ankali.” Jay Melody, popularly known as the “King of Melodies,” has established himself as one of the most influential artists in East Africa with his undeniable talent for crafting catchy hooks and blending Bongo Flava, Afrobeat, Pop, and Dancehall to perfection.

Born on June 12, 1997, in Dar es Salaam, Jay Melody discovered his love for music at a young age. He later joined the Tanzania House of Talents (THT), where he honed his craft before signing with Epic Records Tanzania. Over the years, he has collaborated with top stars like Marioo, Rayvanny, Barnaba, Harmonize, and Nandy.
“Ankali” is his latest release from 2025, blending exciting beats with soulful lyrics that speak directly to the streets and the soul. Jay Melody, known for hit singles like Nakupenda, Sugar, and Chini, once again proves why he is called the “King of Melodies.”
