Darassa is a Tanzanian Hip-hop artist who is known for his unique style and influential voice in the music scene. Born Sharif Thabit/Thabeet Ramadhan, Darassa grew up in Tanzania where he began his music journey. He dropped out of school in form four to pursue his passion for music, and he hasn’t looked back since. His songs have become major hits, with online streaming platforms like Boomplay hosting millions of plays of his tracks.

Darassa’s music career officially began in 2014, releasing his first single ‘Sikati Tamaa’ featuring Ben Pol. His musical break came in 2015, during which he focused on honing his skills.
