Bruce Elias Sanane, better known by his stage name Bruce Africa, is an East African Bongo Fleva artist and singer-songwriter from Tanzania. Bruce’s musical journey began at a young age when he started singing in the church choir at 7. His passion for music was ignited even further when, at 15, his father taught him how to play the guitar. This instrument became Bruce’s true companion, shaping his sound and stage presence throughout his career.

Bruce’s big break came when he participated in Bongo Star Search (BSS), Tanzania’s most prestigious talent competition. He reached the semi-finals during the 2019-2020 season and soon after joined Christian Bella’s group CBO, where he honed his craft and released several songs. In 2022, Bruce decided to go independent, releasing his first solo hit, “In Love”, followed by “Falling Down,” and his smash hit “YOU”, which gained him widespread recognition.
Bruce Africa now returns with a new song, “On Your Door,” from his EP Boyfriend Life, set to further elevate his reputation in the Bongo Fleva scene. The song showcases Bruce’s signature style, blending emotional lyrics with the captivating beats of Tanzanian urban music. His guitar work adds depth to his music, creating a unique blend that fans love.
