Omari Mwanga, professionally known as Marioo, is a Tanzanian singer, songwriter, and record producer, born in 1995. He has solidified his place in the Bongo Fleva industry, becoming one of the most streamed artists in Tanzania and beyond.
Marioo’s journey to stardom was not easy. Before his music career took off, he worked as a welding technician in Dar es Salaam. Despite financial struggles, his passion for music kept him motivated, leading to the release of his debut album, Dar Kugumu, in 2018 under Instinct Records. The album’s title track became a massive hit, dominating Tanzanian radio charts and earning him widespread recognition.
