Darassa (real name: Sharif Thabit/Thabeet Ramadhan) is a Tanzanian rapper and songwriter known for his incredible musical talent and powerful collaborations. His journey into music started in 2014 with the release of his first song ‘Sikati Tamaa’ featuring Ben Pol. After taking a break in 2015, Darassa returned in 2016 with the hit single ‘Utanipenda’ featuring Rich Mavoko and the iconic track ‘Muziki.’ These hits helped him gain widespread recognition. Darassa is now the CEO of his own management company, Classic Music Group (CMG).

Darassa is set to release his highly anticipated album, Take Away The Pain, on February 7, 2025. Known for his captivating flow and collaborations with top Tanzanian artists, Darassa has delivered an album that mixes Bongo Fleva with hip-hop, soul, and more. The album features 15 tracks, including collaborations with stars like Alikiba, Harmonize, Zuchu, Mbosso, and Jovial.
