Bruce Elias Sanane, famously known as Bruce Africa, is an exceptional talent in the Tanzanian music scene. As a Bongo Fleva artist, Bruce Africa’s journey into music began early, at the age of 7, where he sang in the church choir. His love for music deepened when his father introduced him to the guitar, which has been his companion throughout his career.

After finishing his secondary education, Bruce Africa took part in Bongo Star Search (BSS), a renowned talent competition in Tanzania, and made it to the semi-finals. Post-competition, he collaborated with Christian Bella’s group CBO, which helped him release several tracks. By 2022, Bruce Africa embarked on his solo career, releasing his first single “In Love,” followed by “Falling Down” and the widely recognized hit “YOU.”
In 2024, Bruce Africa returns with the hit “I Can’t Kill Myself”, featuring John Blaq. This track, part of the Boyfriend Life EP, perfectly showcases Bruce’s musical evolution, combining the vibrant rhythms of Bongo Fleva with John Blaq’s energetic Ugandan style. The song delivers a powerful message about overcoming life’s challenges and staying positive, resonating with audiences across Africa.
