Alikiba’s contribution to music has been monumental, earning him recognition and awards, including a special honor from the former President of Tanzania, JK. Mrisho Kikwete, for his role in the arts and culture of the country. In 2011, Alikiba was voted the most popular top-selling artist in East Africa by Synovate Research, cementing his legacy in the music industry. He’s known for iconic collaborations, including his work with R. Kelly for the One8 project.
